Sis. Lillian Grace was born on February 25, 1927 in Coushatta, Louisiana to Roxe Ann Caldwell Collins and Rev. Clem Collins. She departed this life on September 11, 2023.
Sis. Lillian Grace attended school in Coushatta, Louisiana and married Eddie James Butler, Sr. They moved to Houston, Texas and later on in life she married Vernon Grace.
She was a member of Greater Progressive Baptist Church, where her late father, Rev. Clem Collins, was the Pastor and Founder. After his death she continued to be a faithful member under the leadership of Rev. M. Bates and current Pastor Forrest D. Kindley. She also attended New Deliverance Fellowship Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Kenneth & Debra Stringfellow. Sis. Lillian Grace was also the founder of The Holy Inspiration Gospel Group, a member of The Quartet Singing Association and The Sister Hood of Houston, Texas.
Sis. Lillian Grace was preceded in death by her father, the Late Rev. Clem Collins; Mother- Sis. Roxe Ann Caldwell Collins, Sister- Esther Lee, Daughter - Chotel Banks, Daughter- Clara Fortune, Daughter Carolyn Shakir, Grandchild Earl N. Fairweather, Jr. God Son/Nephew Alvin L. Collins, Eddie James Butler, Sr. and Vernon Grace.
She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Eddie J. Butler, Jr. (Brenda); eleven grandchildren: Cynthia Lair (Clyde), Donna Chavis (Troy), Donald Roy Fairweather (Brandi), Shalita Davis, Shekia Colar, Cashondra Davis, Frederick Butler, Akilah Langston Ellis, Aswad Sampson, Germoine Shakir and Tarik Shakir; two special goddaughters: Cache Brown and Melody Taylor; two godsons: William Taylor and Terry Thomas: one step– granddaughter, Kironda Robinson (Travis) and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and relatives and friends.
