Rita Ann Decuier was born to this world on September 04, 1958, to the loving parents, Artie Mae and John Decuier in Houston, Texas.
She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age, attending Creston Baptist Church. She later became a member of New Jesus Way Bible Fellowship Church.
Rita received her education throughout the Houston Independent School District, graduating from Kashmere Senior High School. After graduation, she attended Welford Beauty College, where she became both a licensed Beautician and an Instructor.
She loved her family and she loved to dance. If there was ever a thing that she may have loved the most though, it would be her computer...she would play her online games and shop all day long.
Rita was welcomed into her Father’s arms on August 18, 2025, at the young age of 66.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters: Patricia Sewell and Artie Barrett; a brother, Joseph Barrett, Jr. and three nephews: Alvin Decuier, Jr., Alexander Decuier and Altridel Decuier.
She is survived by her devoted partner, Salvador Ortiz; brother, Alvin Decuier, Sr. (Tameka); two Goddaughters: Ponyette Scurlock and Emeral Watson and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces nephews extended family and friends.
She meant a lot to all who knew her and was always there to lend a helping hand to all who needed her.
