Paul Hallett, affectionately known as “Scooter,” began his life’s journey in Aviano, Italy, where even as a baby his joyful spirit was always in motion—earning his nickname by scooting everywhere he could. Those early years hinted at a life marked by movement, laughter, and purpose.
Raised in the Hiram Clarke community of Houston, Texas, Paul attended local schools and proudly graduated from Madison High School. During these formative years, his deep love for God took root and blossomed into a passion for the arts. Through Christian and Gospel plays and his involvement with both Breakfree Ministries and Houston Hollywood Studios, Paul discovered his calling—using the stage and screen to glorify God and share meaningful stories. His creative journey expanded through collaborations with 360 Film Group, where his passion for theater and film flourished, alongside his love for music nurtured through Ears on Music, ultimately giving birth to the creative identity known as “SCOOTADON.”
Paul was a natural comedian—effortlessly becoming the life of every gathering. His laughter was contagious, his presence unforgettable. Alongside his artistic pursuits in music, film, and ministry, Paul served faithfully as a dedicated employee with the City of Houston Public Works Department and earned recognition as a Certified Apprentice, reflecting his strong work ethic, humility, and unwavering commitment to service and community.
Above all, Paul’s greatest joy was his family. He was a loving and devoted father, a proud and tender-hearted grandfather, and a man who believed boldly in his dreams. He never hesitated to speak them aloud, confident that he was created for greatness.
Paul is survived by two sons: Pierre Hallett and Solomon Crenshaw, Sr.; grandchildren: Amoz Hallett, Zion Hallett, Rylee Cherry and Solomon Crenshaw, Jr.; his mother, Leola Hallett; siblings: Mickel Rason (Diane), Donna Price (Deijon), Paula Hallett and Ronnie Tucker and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Paul Hallett leaves behind a legacy of faith, laughter, creativity, and love—a life lived boldly, a light that continues to shine in the hearts of all who knew him.
