Sharon Wilson was the fourth born of the late Clarence Giles (father) and Ruby Jewel Thomas (mother). She was born September 18, 1952. She has 8 siblings who are Lawrence (Peter) Giles, Ray Giles, Edward Giles, Debra Giles, Elva Willis, Donald Giles, Rosie Jan Darby Guillory and Erma Giles Freeman.
Born and raised in Houston, Texas, she learned the value of becoming a strong woman from her dad and older brothers. In her earlier years, she helped her dad fix cars. Not to mention having three older brothers that she followed around as well as becoming their protector as she got older.
Sharon Giles leaves behind to cherish her memory: two boys, Rodney Samuel and Glover Samuel; as well as three step-children that she loved very much, Christopher Williams, Michael Williams and Gail Williams and her Goddaughter, Yaneshia Stephen. Sharon loved her family dearly; nothing could have ever gotten in the way of her family. She wasn't just an aunt or cousin; she was like a mother to everyone. Loving, caring, fun, funny, dependable and protective of everyone including her siblings. She loved family gatherings where she was able to cook some of her finest dishes and share with her family. Sharon Giles was a God-fearing woman who put God before anything, God was her answer for everything, and she would not move without God giving her the direction to do so. She would always tell her family and friends that ever wanted something, she would say, "Just ask God for it!"
Sharon Giles found a home at Shady Acres Church of Christ, where she became a member of for over 30 years. She also volunteered at her home church for over 10 years. If you knew Sharon, you knew she wasn't missing church for anything in the world. Shady Acres was like her second home and if it didn't involve God, she didn't want any parts of it.
On April 19, 2023 we lost an angel, a true example of a great, kind, loving woman, who set many examples of what real love looks like. Even though we lost you in the flesh, we know we still have you in spirit. Momma from your kids, you were always there for us when we needed you and although we didn't always have what we wanted, we for sure always had what we needed. We are going to truly miss you, but we know you are in a better place and you are at peace. So, thank you for always being such a great mother, aunt, sister and cousin and continue watching over us until we meet again.
