Mr. Leonard Sawyer, Jr. was born in Houston, Texas, on October 1, 1998 to Thelecia Bailey and Leonard Sawyer. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Bethlehem Baptist Church in 2008, a moment that reflected his deep faith and spiritual commitment.
Leonard attended Sterling High School and was known for his kind heart and unwavering loyalty. He was a devoted father, a beloved son, a cherished brother and cousin, and a loyal friend to many. He was a talented artist with a passion for both rapping and drawing, expressing himself creatively in everything he did.
Leonard also had a special love for horses, finding peace and joy in their presence. Above all, Leonard loved his family deeply. His presence, warmth, and love will be forever remembered and missed by all who knew him.
Leonard is preceded in death by brother, Ray Jackson; two grandmothers: Dena Sawyer and Edith Bailey; grandfather, Joseph Sawyer and Aunt (Godmother) Lydia Sawyer.
Leonard leaves to cherish his memory an only child, his daughter, Au’brii; parents: Thelecia Bailey and Leonard Sawyer, Sr.; bonus mom/cousin, Brenea; four brothers: Vincent Bailey, Jaylon Sawyer, Raymon Sawyer and Antonio Holman; one sister, Trazanna Sawyer; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of extended family and friends.
