Leo Leron Gaston, Jr. respectfully known as “TRAP,” was born on August 27,1989, to his loving mother, Evette Knox, in Houston Texas. He was raised in the heart of the SWAT. Leo actively practiced being a muslim and partaking in all mosque worship, religious practices and devotion to Allah (our GOD).
Leo stood for the kids and cherished all encounters with them. He believed that if one child, not only his own, knew what it was to have a consistent father around; it could change the dynamic of the world and our immediate surroundings. He believed that fatherhood was important to the state of children and ultimately contributes to how they turn out. This belief made Leo the most amazing dad, casting his cares aside to make sure his kids had a better life than he could imagine.
Leo was very passionate about his kids and what they meant to him. He cherished every moment he got to spend with them. He loved being a father, he felt like that was his greatest accomplishment in the world. Leo felt like his mini-mes could conquer the world in a day. Not only was he passionate about them, but all the children that crossed his path! He devoted his life to his family, friends, kids, work and success.
Leo was known for his big contagious smile, his funny seriousness, his humbled heart and his giving nature to anyone who was in need. The way he cared so much for others and put himself last, earned him much respect from the community, his friends and his family. His generous spirit lit up gray skies and brought out the sunshine.
Leo lived a short yet great life. He lived freely in the world while still having compassion for the world. Leo was one of a kind, caring, intelligent, knowledgeable, strong, fearless and wise. If you knew him then you know exactly what he stood for.
On Wednesday, August,7, 2024, Leo was welcomed home by his mother, the one person who he wanted to be with the most!
Leo’s memory will be cherished and remembered by his children: Noah and Mariya Gaston; his father, Lawrence Thomas; his sister, Amber Knox; his grandmothers: Mary Gilbert and Rose Davis; his grandfather, Jim Knox; his nephew, Kamren Williams; his girlfriend, Taj; his children’s mother, LaCourtney Lair and a host extended family and friends that love him.
Leo was a great man who leaves peace, love and blessings to all! He will always be loved, celebrated, remembered, thought about and greatly missed by everyone.
