Michael Anthony Waters, a native of Waxahachie, Texas, was born on November 2, 1957, and passed away peacefully on September 1, 2024. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Euck Mae Howard (Née Caldwell) and Clarence Earl Waters.
Michael's early years were spent exploring the open road as a long-haul truck driver, a career that allowed him to travel across the United States. Despite his love for the journey, Michael eventually chose to settle down closer to his children, valuing the importance of family. He went on to work at Cemex for over 15 years, retiring in 2021 after a distinguished career of service.
Above all else, Michael cherished time with his family. He leaves behind his beloved daughters, Karissa Sims and Lydia Sims, who will always remember his steadfast love and guidance. He also leaves a lasting legacy in his four granddaughters—Karen, Kristian, Karmen, and Kamren—who brought him great joy and pride.
Michael is survived by his devoted sisters: Shirley Waters of Phoenix, Arizona and Earlene Montgomery of Waxahachie, Texas.
He will be deeply missed by a host of extended family members and dear friends, all of whom will carry forward his memory.
Michael's family invites all who knew and loved him to join in celebrating his life and sharing in the many stories of a man who lived with warmth, humor and an unshakeable love for those closest to him.
