Marvin Horn was born on a beautiful Tuesday, September 28, 1948 to the union of Ben, Sr. and Ora Lee Horn. He was the 8th child of 9 born in Camden, Texas.
Marvin dedicated his life to Christ at an early age and confessed that Jesus was his Lord and Savior. He later joined Truevine Missionary Baptist Church in Navasota, Texas. He attended Truevine M.B.C. until he became ill.
Marvin was a dedicated and hard worker at the City of Houston for 32 years. He retired in 2000 due to his illness.
Marvin had a heart of gold. No matter who you were, everyone he came in contact with knew that if he had it, you had it. He loved to be around his family and friends and had a laugh
that was unique and contagious. He could fill a room. He loved to sit and watch TV, especially Lifetime, which was his favorite.
In the late 1980's, he was united in love with Anna Lincoln until she passed away in 2010. The two of them are back together again.
Marvin departed this life on March 1, 2023 in Houston, Texas.
Marvin is proceeded in death by his parents: Ben, Sr. and Ora Lee Horn; both maternal and paternal grandparents; three sisters: Nellie M. Jefferson, Beatrice Kindle and Alice Faye
Gillis; four brothers: McArthur, Ben Jr, Howard and Robert Horn; one brother-in-law, Willie Creeks, Sr.; one granddaughter, Robin Brown; two nieces: Yolanda Creeks-Baker and Ora
Creeks; one nephew, Anthony "AJ" Johnson and one great-niece, Porscha Crawford.
