The second of seven children born to Reverend Robert and Dessie May Hamilton, Josie was born on October 23, 1953 at Jefferson Davis Hospital in Houston Texas.
She attended school within the Houston Independent School District (HISD), finishing her education at Jesse H. Jones High School. She embarked on different careers at Carlton Packing and Chan Fish Market before retiring from HISD as a Special Needs Bus Driver.
After working hard as a single parent of three boys, Josie met her soul mate, the love of her life, Deacon Robert E. White! On November 23, 1983, they were joined in marriage and they truly became one! Very few times if ever, you would see one without the other and unto this union was born another son.
Sister White, took her service to God very much, as an honor and she was committed. She was truly the definition of giving her self and of her possessions. She joined the Final Chapter Ministries under the leadership of Pastor O’Neil Bank, until his passing. The leadership was then passed on to Pastor Wilson Valyan. She remained a faithful member until her Homegoing!!!
