Ell Cead Teycer

Mr. Ell Cead Teycer, affectionately known as “LC,” was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He was born to this world on September 21, 1971, to the loving parents, Betty Watson and Hardy Teycer, in Houston, Texas.

He obtained his education within the Houston Independent School District, graduating from Yates High School. After graduation, he obtained his barber’s license. This was his greatest passion, winning him a “Barber of the Year” award in March 2017 and providing him and his family a great lifestyle.

LC was a real social butterfly, a true family man who not only enjoyed spending time with his family, but also enjoyed barbecuing, fishing, watching basketball, loved watching his Texans, taking long vacations and longer trips down to the Louisiana casinos... chasing those sevens. 

Ell Cead was granted his angel wings on March 29, 2025, at the age of 53, peacefully at his home.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Watson; father, Hardy Teycer; brothers-in-law: Daniel Adams, Daryl Bryant and Johnny Adams; aunts: Deloris Watson, Claire Watson and Sheila Hubbard and uncles: Michael Hubbard and Kenneth Watson.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Rogena; children: Josh, Ell, Legend, Detreon, Brodrick and Brandon; grandchildren: Jace, Skylar, Eli, Mya, Von, Cannon, Kamron and Karson; brothers: Jeffery Watson, Brandon Watson and Jason Teycer; mother-in-law, Lottie Smart; sisters-in-law: Rolunda Smart and Brenda Adams (Ralph); brother-in-law: James Smart (Madonna); aunts and uncles: Thelma Easley, Bobby Watson (Beverly) and Bruce Watson (Helen); nieces and nephews: Jessica, Jada, Jeffrey (Nukie), Jeremy, Racquel, Dermaine and Anthony; cousins: Steven, Rosie, Derrick, Ali (Frank), Melinda (Douglas), Farrah, Fredrick Jr. (Anne), Jerry, Kristopher, Benere, Trechele, Toshia, Latasha, Rachel, Regina and a host of extended family and friends.
