Denver Daniels Obituary

Born on September 17, 1980, in Gary, Indiana, to Jewel Nalls-Johnson and John Paul Daniels, Denver entered this world with a light that would touch countless lives.

In 2007, Denver dedicated his life to the Lord at the Church of Christ in Washington Park, Fort Lauderdale, FL. His faith, compassion, and uplifting presence were evident in every aspect of his life. Mookie had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel valued and loved. His vibrant spirit, infectious laughter, memorable storytelling, and unwavering encouragement left an imprint on all who were blessed to know him. Whether you needed advice, a good laugh, or a heartfelt conversation, Denver always had a story, a lesson, or a word of wisdom to share.

A natural-born leader with a free-spirited soul, Denver lived boldly and authentically. He went out of his way to help others, offering kindness and support without hesitation. His warmth filled every room he entered, and his joy was truly contagious. Bold, funny, philosophical, and endlessly encouraging, Denver had a God-given gift for bringing smiles and laughter to those around him. Denver was a Master Mason and former Senior Warden of his Lodge.

Denver cherished his family deeply. He loved his children and those he helped raise with all his heart. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, his Mason brothers, gardening, visiting the gun range, making music, and embracing every moment life had to offer. Generous to the core, he would give anyone the shirt off his back.

He was a proud father to his son, Anthony Daniels (also known as Nook). Denver's life partner is Tameka Gomiller, with whom he shares five stepchildren – Rashawn Frazier, Tamia Frazier, Brea Frazier, Shane Bishop, and Rahim Bishop- and is a devoted father to his three adopted daughters—Jada Jackson, Jania Jackson, and Isis—as well as his beloved goddaughter, Aniya Morman.

The oldest of four siblings, Denver leaves to cherish his memory his brothers, James Nalls-Daniels, John Daniels (Chanel), and Brandon Daniels (Kiona); his nephew, Jamir; his nieces, Nevaeh and Avayah; his stepfather, Nigel Knight; and his god-sister, Keneisha Green, his best friend and Mason brother, Paris Hodo, plus a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

His legacy of love, laughter, and light will continue to live on in every heart he touched. Denver "Mookie" Daniels was truly one of a kind, and his memory will be cherished forever.
