God called our beloved Billie home to rest on Friday, June 27, 2025.
Billie Jo Jones was born on November 06, 1952, in Natchez, MS to Nancy Gibson. She was later adopted by her uncle, Sidney and aunt, Dorothy Gibson; also, raised by her uncle, Otis and aunt, Earnestine Fleming. She adored all of her parents so dearly.
Billie accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by Father Damon of Holy Family Catholic Church in Natchez, MS. Billie attended Holy Family Catholic Church until she relocated to Houston, TX, where she attended Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, St. Benedict Catholic Church, Holy Family Catholic Church, and St. Frances De Sales.
Billie attended Holy Family Catholic School located in Natchez, MS, from Pre-K through High School. She would then attend North Natchez High School from which she would graduate. After graduation, she took college level courses at Alcorn University.
Billie was blessed with two children; her daughter, Marla and son, Damon. She would later meet the love of her life, Johnny G. Jones, to whom she was married for 37 years. This union would welcome Johnny’s daughter, Connie. They both adored their blended family.
Billie began a career at Southwestern Bell in Natchez, MS, in the mid 70’s, for two years until she relocated to TX. She would then work for Colonial Fountain Apartments as an Asst. Her last place of employment was Western Atlas (Bought out by Baker Hughes and GE) where she would remain for 31 years as the Helpdesk Supervisor.
